So far so good....

Just a quick blog today. Wea re all looking forward to our first family holiday since we left the UK. We are off to Merimbula for a week. http://www.hydraunits.com/ Is where we will be staying.

We will jsut relax and go walking and spend time at the beach just the 3 of us it'll be lovely.

Flynn is 18 months old this weekend and is doing some amazing things. It is a lovely age, and it will only get better.

Summer

Well it's coming up to summer in Australia. Here's hoping we get some rain before we get too dry. It has been warm warm warm. Very lovely when you haven't a summer for a while. Well we have been in a counrty that sometimes has a fabulous summer it's just that I have missed a really really warm one.

All is fabulous here in Australia we are really settling in and loving life. Flynn is fast becoming a beach babe and just loves the water.

He has a huge backyard and just loves running around in it playing with all his toys.

A year has passed....

Yes 1 year has passed since I have blogged. It has been eventful and lots of things have happened and ther have been a hell of a lot of changes.

Firstly we have moved country, for me a move back home, for Richard and Flynn it meant immigrating to the other side of the world.

Yes it is a huge thing for us all. Some people seem to think it was an easy decision for us to come to Australia but much thought went into the whole moving process. Richard has moved away from family and friends as have I, and to move back to a country where so much has changed in 6 years has been very stressful.

It is fantastic to be back though and having the support of my parents is so fabulous I can't even begin to explain.

It is also amazing how many people have been instrumental in helping us settle back into Aussie life and once Richard starts his new job I think it wont feel so much like a holiday.

So anyway I have decided that I will blog more often now as it is a great place opinions and some up to date piccies as well. So for now enough and there will be more where that came from.

Five weeks on!!!

Well it's nearly 5 weeks since Flynn was born and I can't believe how time has flown. It seems like yesterday that I was pregnant and wondering how much longer I would have to wait to meet this little man. Now I have met him I want time to stand still. He has grown so much and is changing every day. My whole world has changed and all I seem to be able to focus on is feeding sleeping and wondering when the next feed is happening. I'm lucky if I get out for a walk a day and I find just spending a little time on the internet time consuming as I have to leave it to see to my son when he calls!!

It's Richard's birthday today and we are going out for dinner this evening. My mum is babysitting for us which is lovely so we get some time for ourselves. Mind you leaving our baby will be very hard!!

So I will sign off now as I am being summoned!! Busy busy busy!! But loving it and I wouldn;t change it for the world. He is just perfect!!

One month old!!

Well today I am one month old and gee it's been a quick and busy month. I just don't know where the time has gone. I've had so many visitors and presents and my nana is here now from Australia which is pretty good I must say. She is helping my mum which is great.

This photo was taken on sunday and I was having a love with my daddy!! He is very proud of me I must say. He thinks I am so clever and really he is right I am. I have mummy, daddy and nana wrapped around my little finger. I just have to cry a little and they all come running.

I am a bit of a sticky nose I like being awake and cuddled. But I do know I need to sleep sometimes so I try to do it at night and then get up really early so nana and I get some quality time and mummy can have a sleep cause she's up all night with me!! Poor daddy has to work, so he gets to sleep most of the time.

Well anyway I am just trying to have a bit of a rest now so I'll sign off. Till next time big sloppy kisses

Introducing Flynn John Thayer

Well here we are born 26th May at 0513hrs by Cesarean Section after a rather long labour.

Today I am 9 days old and thriving!! Mummy and Daddy are very tired today as I am keeping them on their toes with my feeding regieme.

My Nanny (Richard's Mum) is being a star and cleaning and feeding mummy and daddy to keep their strength up.

It is tough being a newborn, people want to take you photo all the time and give you cuddles and just stare at you. It's great!!

So it's a little hello today as mummy needs a sleep while I am sleeping so until next time.

38 Weeks!!

Just a quick update with photo. I am now officially 38 weeks and 4 days. Not long to go!

We are both getting rather excited about the birth and finally meeting our new arrival.

I am having lots of practice contractions at present so I'm hoping it wont be too long. And if it is, then, oh well we are ready to go. Bags are packed and by the door. Well kind of.

So the next photo should be of our new baby!!
