London Marathon

Just before my baby shower Jen and I went to watch our good friend Pat Meldrum run the London Marathon. http://www.bbc.co.uk/london/sport/marathon/index.shtml

Linda, Pat's wife organised some meeting points along the way and we went to the first point at 11.2 miles just near Canada Water.

As Pat ran up to us he decided that some pushups were necessary and a huge smile and some waving and some jelly babies were consumed. He looked relaxed and very chilled out and looked as though he was really enjoying the run. He was doing the Marathon for an extremely good cause Cancer research!! His cousin is battling cancer right now so all the support we can give is much appreciated!

Here's a couple of photo's of Pat's back as he ran off!

All I can say is WELL DONE PAT!!!! Great time too, 3 hours 21 minutes and 25 seconds!!

A fantastic achievement!!!!

My Baby Shower!!

So here we all are with our fabulous painted toenails!!

I must say, I think I have about the best group of girfriends a person could ever want!! It was my baby shower and today it was all about me.

Meryl, Alex, Anna, Jen, Justine and Tania all took me to have a well needed pedicure and a manicure in Kingly Court today!

We had champagne and nibbles and a massive pampering!

I just want to say THANK YOU ALL VERY MUCH!!!!! It was a fantastic day! And I love you all!!

33 1/2 weeks

Well no photo's this week, but, we do need to take some as I feel I am rather large!!

All is well, and we have an extremely busy baby. There must be so much to do inside my tummy! It feels like the bean is spring cleaning. I must say when he gets the hiccups it's quite a bizzare sensation too!

I have started maternity leave a little earlier than most people as I was completely shattered most nights when I got home from work. All very lovely to get home have dinner then a shower then bed, then get up go to work and do it all again. I will miss work but I do have so much to do around the house before the arrival. I need to completely spring clean and make sure we are spotless. Our house is soooooo old and dusty and it feels like you need to dust an hoover constantly to keep some order.

Anyway enough moaning. I am off to walk around the Common and get this baby in the right head down postion. He has decided that laying across my belly is a lot better than head down. Oh well!!

Bye for now
