The Grand Square, Lille

Well we have just returned from a weekend in Lille. It was lovely. We ate and drank and shopped and walked and had a ball really. Definitely a place to chill out and enjoy the sights and shopping. It is extremely laid back and English? Well not in this town. We struggled along with our limited French!

We went out for dinner on the first Saturday night and ordered what I thought was rare steak, well it was rare steak-it was raw or Steak Tartare!! I really need to read up on my French food!!!

So next is Italy with Jan and John!! Can't wait only 5 weeks to go!
